The WBN was co-founded by Lorrie Gore,  CoBe Workspaces and Kelly Woods Vaughn, Riverview Inn after attending a women’s networking lunch created by Linh Green, a local Realtor.  On the drive back to Colonial Beach, the conversation exploded with ideas around the opportunities for local businesses. 

 

The need for a women's networking group was huge as there was nothing like this in the community.  Lorrie and Kelly agreed to co-host the next meeting at CoBe Workspaces, on the topic of “The Importance of Co-Marketing".  Every woman owned and  businesswoman they could find were invited to the meeting.  Thirty five women showed up!

Confirmation for the need that women together are stronger,  empowered leaders and bring to the community experience, knowledge and wisdom.
